I will bring string cheese, and water. Is 48 pack of water enough/too much?

Ummm... what size ziplocs am I suppose to bring?

I was gonne volunteer for water but see Mel already has. I think that should be enought water for 6 people. I think we are missing a cooler? I can bring that, if it's still missing.

Never mind. I see Angie's bring it. I'm so excited, even dreamed about it the other night. It wasn't a good dream though. I was late and the team could not start without me. If that happens just star without me. I feel better putting it out there. Phew!

Yep, I've got the cooler covered. I thought I'd also bring our water cooler and have it filled with ice water so there'd be plenty to drink along with the bottled water. Unless you guys think it'd take up too much room?

I have the headlamp and LED. I will bring a couple of tarps one large and one small. I was planning to bring a cooler since I have a 3 hour ride to get there and I need my food to ride somewhere during that. What other food/ snacks could we bring to share? I a need some ideas! I would be happy to stop at a park and ride and pick anyone up. Tancy and I will be coming from utah county.

Cameo,

If you're planning to bring your cooler anyway for food, I'll just bring my water cooler for cold water. Sound okay?

I think some other ideas for snacks might be anything with carbs and protein that's easily transportable and digestible but that will also help us from feeling hungry. Maybe some wheat bagels with a small jar of peanut butter or some sliced turkey to made an easy sandwich? Bananas are always good too.

Tancy and I will bring the fixins for sandwiches some meat and PB&J! Consider it done! And some fruit too. Yeah bring your water cooler, I think that will be good, unless we need 2 food/drink coolers? It is just hard to know and not waste cargo space with a big cooler! But nice icy cold water sure is nice too. I don't know but I have several coolers if we want another.

Maybe the water cooler is overkill but with everything I hear about making sure to bring enough water, I guess I'm leaning towards being safe than sorry! I hear a lot of the bottled water people bring is used just to dump over our heads while we're running if it gets really hot. Tell you what... I'll bring it with me, but if we start packing up our vans and there's not enough room (or if the weather is going to be cool), we can leave it behind. Will you and Tancy be coming to the breakfast in Logan on Saturday morning? We can pack up our van there and see how things look.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for snacks? I can add something else to my list if needed.

Yes we will be there for breakfast - send me diections! slackja@uvu.edu. I like the water cooler, we really need that. Just wondering if we want one cooler full of Ice with drinks and ok I'll say it Diet Coke, or juice, gatorade all that stuff that can be soaking in ice, with another cooler with food and sandwich meat, cheese and stuff. I don't really want to eat cold pasta dinners all along the way, if ya know what I mean. I just don't want to pack 2 if we don't need 2?!

I was going trough the comments and lists on the side bar here ----> wondering what I can bring and see that the snacks and water department it's pretty much covered. Should I bring something else? Granola bars, peanuts, gatorade? I don't drink soda but I'll bring if anyone requests it.

Sarai,

I think some sports drinks would be a great idea... the liquid electrolytes are sure to come in handy, especially if the weather is warm. What about the powder packets we can mix into our bottled waters instead of extra bottles that take up more space?

powder packets. done.

Hey Ladies,

FYI, I'm packing a couple of miscellaneous things to share that I thought might be useful: 50 SPF sunscreen and a little container of febreeze (to help "freshen up" our clothes and the van). The only thing I don't have handy because I'm sending it with my daughter to Girl's Camp is some bug spray. Do you think we might need it during our middle-of-the-night runs? I once tried to run with mosquitoes gnawing at me and it was the creepiest experience ever... vowed to never do it again! Does anyone have some to throw in your bag?

BUG SPRAY, check.
