Shirt, version 1

Here is a rough draft of the shirt. I am sure the person I am working with totally was rolling his/her eyes with all my comments and links to blogs and such. But, it is not a bad first try. Take a look at it. Critique. Keep in mind we can change color schemes, fonts, text, etc. We can especially change what I have put there. It was my lame brained, half-witted attempt to connect our two hot momma teams. Also, if we decide to do names, we can put them around like we did for Texas.

If this is a total NO WAY JOSE, please say so. I can easily choose something else. Make your voice heard. Keep in mind, at the end of the day, you only have to wear it for one or two pictures. Or, it can be part of your weekly wardrobe. Majority rules here ladies.

No word on price yet. It will depend on the final numbers.

Happy Monday!
Lindsay

I really, really like it (especially the "Celebrating Motherhood" theme). The only thing that seems out of place to me is the phrase, "running from the kids". For some reason, whenever I hear that, it makes it sound a little negative. Is it just me??

Maybe something like, "Running for Sanity" or "Running for Peace and Quiet" would sit better with me. I dunno. I'm just being picky.

Regardless, it's a great looking design and I'll be proud to wear it. Thanks, Lindsay!

I love it! The design and the colors. I kind of agree with "tall girl", the "running from the kids" isn't really me but I'm okay with it if the majority calls it. I like to think of it along the lines of "Running for the kids". I run so I can be a better mom. Also, every mile reminds me how grateful I am that I can run and not take it for granted.

You guys are so inspirational, even when picking a phrase for a shirt! :) I agree with them "Running for the Kids", "Running for peace and quiet", "Running for Sanity" all sound great to me. I'm sorry for my lack of crativity. I don't have much more input of my own other than that. The design looks great too!

Ok, I just thought of something: "178 is miles of peace and quite" I actually think I have seen something like that before. Just a thought.

great comments so far... still need some more opinions so i can take what we've said back to the shirt folks. with 24 ladies, we've got to have some more thoughts!

here's what i am thinking, with compiling the other comments...

rather than 'running from the kids' let's sub that for: anything for peace and quiet...

so, the shirt at the top would read, "anything for peace and quiet, these mommies got back and the energizer runnies keep going and going and going"

also, do i hear that we need to change the bottom to reflect something different?

whoo hoo!

(btw, running from the kids was our texas team; part hyperbole mixed with pun, but with a lot of meaning.)

It looks great! I prefer it with the changes. You could probably get away with one less "and going" but either way, I am on board.

I like the changes that everyone has suggested. I am not in love with the hot pink, but I can live with it. How about orange?? Thanks for the effort. I'll be happy to wear it!
