Volunteers

Sorry to create a whole new post for this, but I wanted to make sure it was seen.

I've got a committed volunteer for the Energizer Runnies (my younger sister who lives in Logan and is attending grad school at USU). She's going to be online this morning to secure her spot.

Just wanted to let my team know so we know where we stand!

I hope she got signed up before the site went down. We were trying to secure a spot for my husband to volunteer but the site is down.

I will try to check.... once it gets back up! That is what happens when 650 teams of 12 all try to log on at the exact same time :)

I think she was able to get on long enough to find the spot she wanted but couldn't finalize it before it crashed.

Do we have any idea at all what time our team will be starting from Logan on Friday?

We don't know start times yet but should soon. I think we both put in for 11, 11:30 and 12 so it should be somewhere around there

I've got one volunteer confirmed and signed up for Energizer Runnies. Yeah!

My hubby will volunteer for MGB team. I'll try to go sign him up right now.

My husband is signed up for MGB

Got the second volunteer for Energizer Runnies signed up and confirmed. :-)

Mel, when your husband signed up, was he able to designate our team number in his registration? It didn't allow my sister to do that so she'll need to follow through to make sure she's accounted for on the right team.

Mel, which shift is your husband taking?

Do we need another volunteer for the Energizer Runnies?

Mel said...

Angie- yes, there was a drop down box to indicate which team he was volunteering for.

Kristyn- He is working the 1:15pm - 6:15 pm shift at exchange point #4. Did your husband sign up too?

Erin,

My sister's name is Jodie M. if you want to fill that in as the second volunteer for Team #2.

It looks like we need one more volunteer. Did you have one, Sarai?

I'm sure Mommies Got Back would take any leftover volunteers from the Energizer Runnies! So even if your volunteer quota is met and you still have people who want to volunteer, we could put them down for the other team, right?

My husband has agreed to volunteer. I was hoping he'd get to be in the same vehicle, but I see it's a bit complicated. How do I know wich vehicle will I be in anyway?

Saria~ The volunteers are not in the vans with us. They have to get to the volunteer area by themselves and stay there for the time they are assigned. As far as knowing which one you are in... the first 6 are in car #1 and 7-12 are in car #2.

Just had my brother sign up as a volunteer for Mommies Got Back. Are we good to go for volunteers then?

Team one has three volunteers registered! Wooo Hooo!

Team 2 we need one more :) Anyone Anyone? If you know someone that can do IV's there are lots of shifts still open for those folks

y'all are awesome! thanks to those brave men and women who'll be helping the cause! they ROCK! perhaps we could all chip in a few dollars and get them a treat? any takers? with 24 of us, if we each gave around $3-5, they'd get a little momento. it is way cheaper than paying for volunteers through ragnar!

great idea lindsay...thanks everyone!

Kristyn said...

Yep--let's definately get them a treat or "thank you" of some kind!

Great idea to do the "thank you" for the volunteers. Should we take care of that now or do we wait until the race? If we take care of it now I just need to know how much and where to send the cashola to.

Love the idea of the gifts.

Should it be something like gift cards? Or am I lame? :)

Kristyn said...

Gift cards are always great. I don't mind putting in more money, but even if we all put in just $5 that would give each of our six volunteers $20 gift card. Not bad.

The Eberhardts said...

itunes cards...how bout those as gifts? everyone likes those, right?

What about more along the lines of a nice restaurant gift card? (I know my sister doesn't use an ipod and maybe others don't either).

Or maybe something girly for the woman (Bath and BodyWorks) and manly for the men (Cabela's or Sportsman's Warehouse)?

I think restaurant gift cards are good, but I'm sure anything will be appreciated.
